I can't even tell you how awesome my Saturday was. Rick, the singer from RockFist (hubby's band) won a contest on Friday on 93x to go on stage and sing with Queensryche at the Myth on Saturday. Chris and I aren't big QR fans, so we weren't planning on attending the concert until Rick won the contest on Friday. So Saturday, he was one of three finalist and then blew away the competition on stage and got to come out with QR for their encore and sign with the band. It was absolutely amazing. I was so blessed to be a part of this "little" family and to be there to witness someones dream come true. I still have goosebumps and I get so emotional just thinking about it. If you are interested in more info on that incredible Saturday night, go to: www.rockfistband.com

I am not all that good with journaling, it is still a process in the works for me, but I will do my best to share with you my new and exciting news my family and I learned over the weekend. Our little family of 3 will in less than a year become a family of four. Preliminary testing shows baby number 2 is on the way!! The highlight of the weekend was not even finding out, but the expressions on my parents faces when we told them the news. They were visibly happy and excited as shown by the tears welling up in their eyes. We are truly blessed as I know many people who are and have been trying for a long time. I look forward to beginning an album to document this little ones journey in life as I currently am doing with Kyle.

One good thing about this weekend, hmmm...Chad and I both had bad colds and I stayed at home all weekend. I guess the good thing about that was I caught up on some sleep!

Ok, I can't compete with pregnancy or rock bands, but i had a great weekend in my basement storage room - just me & boxes of stuff!!! yes, just stuff that is taking up space in my home, heart & mind - weirdest & dumbest thing found - a box full of plastic cups from various sports venues. Our trash is full to overflowing & my house, heart & mind are on their way to becoming clutter-free!!

I have been searching for a small group in my age range and last night I went to one and LOVED it - also found out the facilitator of it is my old high school boyfriend - and well..... he asked me out for coffee again tonight :) Which is super funny - because about 2 months ago I was arranging old pictures and came across his picture - Also on Saturday I got my acceptance letter to my grad program at St Thomas in St Paul. The Lord truly is doing some amazing things in my life and I am excited to see where he is going to take the new level to.

One good thing for me this weekend...My 2 year old actually took a three hour nap on both Saturday and Sunday so I got to read a magazine! I also got to clean bathrooms and do laundry uninterrupted! The joy of naps. :)

On Sunday afternoon our friends invited us to bring the kids to a great new sledding hill they found! It was such a blast and a blessing to be out in the fresh air after being cooped up in the house lately!

This weekend I helped host a Graduation Open House for my mother-in-law. She recently graduated from the Master's program at the University of St.Thomas. She is such a wonderful person and worked so hard over the last 5 years. It was so fun to celebrate with her friends and family. I finally got to meet all of these people in her life I have heard so much about. It was amazing to see how she has touched each one of them. You could literally feel the love and energy in the room. It was a day filled with good food, great company, and plenty of laughter.

My Saturday was super fun. I was in the St.Paul Winter Carnival Parade. I rode on a float dressed as Miss Fright Farm. I had a tiara and everything. I wish I had a picture to share with you. People didn't know quite what to make of us, all dressed up for Halloween at the Winter Carnival. We were quite a sight.

Oh my, I love a good contest!! My weekend highlights included watching the live feed(at Hosanna!) from India and seeing friends who have been on an incredible mission trip - and secondly, seeing the kids in HALO gather around Bruce, as he sits on the steps of the stage in the CLC, and sing worship songs - each time it brings tears to my eyes - such innocent love for the Lord!! Lastly, I even took a walk in the sunshine yesterday - I guess I had a spectacular weekend and didn't even know it!!
