We were just finishing up with dinner when the hubby began instructing the boys on homework. Meeley was feeling frustrated and just wanted to get on with it. (My hubby has this need to really explain things and it always causes Meeley to react defensively.) I interjected with, "Just listen to him Meeley... his way of explaining has nothing to do with you, it's just the way he is wired."
Our youngest chimed in, "Then can we pull that wire out?"
By the way, do you remember when I was caught up in the whole personality test thing? If so, you might be interested to know that the same site now offers a "Kid Personality Test" (for parents to take on behalf of their children). I did it for both of mine and found it very interesting. Not only will you find information about specific strengths/weaknesses, you'll discover just how they are wired.
